Sarah is the music, band and drama teacher at Broomfield Academy. The kids call her "Miss K." She received her bachelor's degree in Music Education from Coe College in Iowa and is working to complete her master's degree in music at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music. She plays trumpet professionally and has performed with symphony orchestras, brass quintets and jazz ensembles in the Denver area and elsewhere. She currently plays trumpet in the big band “William and the Romantics.” She also teaches private trumpet, piano, voice, recorder, Music History and Music Theory. Miss K enjoys traveling, running, dancing and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. She loves directing the Broomfield Academy school musicals and teaching students songs and dances from around the world. Miss K. also started the Broomfield Academy Capoeira program and conducts and teaches the students in the Broomfield Academy Band program.
