Patricia Garner - Principal

Pat Garner is the Principal at Broomfield Academy. As Principal, she serves as the chief administrator of the school, developing and implementing policies, programs, and curriculum activities that promote the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. She leads and manages school open houses and tours and is the primary contact point for parents of enrolled students. The Principal also is responsible for assuring outstanding quality in teaching and learning environments.

Mrs. Garner has taught first through eighth grade children for over twenty years in both public and private school settings. For the past eighteen years her focus has been on differentiation, accelerated programs for children and teaching children, including the gifted and the twice-exceptional. After teaching at Mackintosh Academy, she founded and served as Director and Principal of the Community School for the Gifted in Littleton, where she was responsible for the development of the upper grade and middle-school programs.

She attended Rhode Island College where she received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She also attended the University of Rhode Island where she earned her master's equivalency in Elementary Education. She holds a lifetime Teaching License in the State of Rhode Island, a Colorado Professional Elementary Education Teaching License and a State of Colorado early childhood education Director's Qualification.

Pat loves to read – her favorite book is Charlotte's Web. Gardening is a favorite pastime – roses are her favorite flower. She also is a sports fan and closely follows local professional teams.
